      From March 17 to 18, 2018, the 2018 GCNS Youth Forum organized by the United Nations Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS) was held as scheduled at the Singapore Federation of Trade Unions Building. Ms. Goh Swee Chen, Chairman of GCNS, Dr. Maliki Osman, Senior Minister of Ministry of National Defense and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Mr. Chen Zhensheng, Secretary-General of Singapore Federation of Trade Unions, representatives of various industries including Singaporean business elites, college professors, newspaper reporters, and representatives from ten ASEAN countries and China Youth representatives from Japan and South Korea participated in the forum.

      With the support of the United Nations Global Compact China Network, Ms. Li Li, an expert in the field of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development of our school, was invited to recommend three graduate students of our school, Mo Jiapei, Class of 2016, Dong Xinye, and Pan Xueting, Class of 2017, as Chinese representatives. forum. The theme of this forum is "ASEAN Sustainable Development Goals: Youth Power". Youth from the ten ASEAN countries and China, Japan and South Korea gathered together to discuss how young people from the "10+3" regional coordinated development How should people learn the concept of sustainable development and how to practice sustainable development?

      At the opening ceremony on March 17th, Ms. Goh Swee Chen, the chairman of the GCNS organization, gave a speech, mainly focusing on what are the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how to call on young people to practice and achieve future sustainable development goals. After the opening ceremony, Dr. Maliki Osman, Senior Minister of the Ministry of National Defense and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, delivered a speech entitled "The Driving Role of Young and Middle-aged ASEAN Countries in SDGs". The chairman of the Singapore Federation of Trade Unions gave a speech on what is "success". He defined success from the perspective of sustainable development. It is how to enable the next generation to realize their dreams. Therefore, it is necessary to pass a review of the environment, interpersonal relations, and systems. At the same time, the chairman believes that ASEAN countries should not be restricted by nationality, language, and religion, and should integrate all available resources, dare to face the status quo, emphasize the use of institutional laws to restrain, and concentrate on coordinated development. During the forum, the delegates also shared their experiences and views on topics related to sustainable lifestyles, gender inequality in ASEAN, sustainable business, sustainable finance, and sustainable communication, and focused on “how young people create A sustainable future" began the discussion. All three graduate students in our school have systematically taken the course "Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development", mastered the knowledge related to sustainable development, and made full preparations before the conference, and participated in the on-site discussion.
